Sanford Airport (SFB) to opt out of TSA screening
Reporter: Ken Tyndall The backlash continues over those new TSA screening measures, and now one Central Florida airport has decided to go with a private security screening firm. Orlando Sanford International Airport has decided to opt out from TSA screening. "All of our due diligence shows it's the way to go," said Larry Dale, the director of the Sanford Airport Authority. With all of the fallout over TSA in recent months I surprised that more airports aren't opting out of TSA. In my opinion, there are still serious issues not being addressed for the total security of any aircraft in the skies such as the cargo holds. I feel very strongly that more should be done to stop the paranoia of TSA and other agencies from spreading and use more appropriate measures for screening the public fairly.
Now that one airport has lead the way with opting out it will be interesting to see in the upcoming months how many others will opt out.

ill be a little more nervous when i fly out of there now.
I Know for a fact EYW already has a private security company. I have also heard that SFO is the same way already but not 100% on that one..
Well while we have all this fallout I am sure the terrorist are just waiting for their chance again. Going through the scanners should be mandatory and stop this pat down stuff. Lets see what the goody too shoes say if we have another under ware bomber.
