World's latest mega-airport finally opens to passengers
(CNN) -- Dubai's aviation industry achieved its biggest milestone to date on Sunday, when the emirate's new airport welcomed the arrival of its first commercial flight. Located in Jebel Ali and part of Dubai World Central, an "aviation city" that the government launched as a free economic zone, Al Maktoum International Airport is expected to become the world's largest airport upon completion. (www.cnn.com) Mais...Dubai's new Terminal 3 IS truly Awesome! It makes all others redundant by definition!
Emirates are to be congratulated on their vision.
Emirates are to be congratulated on their vision.
And I thought Denver International was huge.
This CNN article is truly misleading. The new airport is nothing more than a small terminal building in the middle of nowhere...no concourses and not a single gate. Considering expansion at Dubai International Airport is only recently completed with an exclusive A380 concourse, it will be a long time before the new airport amounts to anything. The article would be more accurate if it were written in 2027 at build out.

Seriously, congrats Dubai.
