I wonder how many square feet you'd need to produce the 30kW it needs at cruise... imagine being able to cruise all day long!

Of course, then you'd need to figure out how to put a lav in a 172...

I like the $5.00 $6.00 /hr direct ops cost! It sounds like their might be a weight hit, but surely in time they could improve on the weight of the batteries etc. Sounds like some great research!

weight is alaways an issue no matter what i suggest they make it like a hybrid car where if you need to climb turn the engine on and spin the prop while charging the batteries and let batteriss spin the prop until low battery light comes on then start the enging up and let batteries charge up and let engine also keep the prop spinning
