As a corporate pilot I have dealt with Domestic Maintenance Repair Stations that didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing. The problem is global. Airline MX outfits here in the states have the same problem. Let's call this what it really is and tell everyone we want our freaking jobs back! Instead of the fear mongering and all that jazz saying planes are not safe because the FAA isn't watching over the guys working on them (puhhhleaseeeee) let's just demand to congress come this November that Americans will not tolerate jobs being shipped overseas.

I found the following news articles related to SWA outsourcing aircraft maintenance.

2008: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/031808dnbussouthwest.38c727b.html

2009: http://www.centralamericadata.com/en/article/home/Aeroman_El_Salvador_and_Southwest_Sign_Agreement

2009: http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local-beat/Southwest-Airlines-Will-Send-Planes-to-El-Salvador-For-Maintanence.html

I searched for the company listed in the NBC article, Aeroman, and came up with this website: http://www.aeroman.com.sv/

However at this time it appears the Aeroman website is not working.
