Flew on to late on Thursday afternoon to pick up and fly an evening Patients Airlift mission from HPN to northern NY.
During my run up I found I had a plug that wasn't firing. I was told to try to call Heavy Metal Air at Ross West and ask for Armand. I called and Armand quickly called back and said to taxi back to their hanger and he would see if they could quickly help me.
Armand and Scott came out, looked at the plane, popped open the cowl and pulled my fouled plugs.
Scott cleaned and checked them for operation. He found one plug had failed.
Scott pulled out a good plug from his toolbox, cleaned, gapped and installed the plugs into my plane.
When I went to pay the bill, they said Merry Christmas and sent me on my way.
I am so grateful for Armand & Scott's willingness to stay late during the Christmas season. Their selflessness allowed the patient to return home the that evening with only a slight delay in departure.
