From this angle it looks like an old Aeroflot IL-96

From what I have found, this bird is an upper-middle aged workhorse that spends 90% of her time these days performing China domestic duties (2-3 flights of 2-3 hours a day). Anyone that has spent some time in this part of the world and has a sense of its culture will understand that Chinese aviation does not list appearance as high on the list of important things. As un-glamorous as it sounds, she is but a bus that just happens to frequent 38,000 feet daily with 310 people on board. She looks like a western world freight hauler and that is what she does - albeit it humans.
