That is a unique firefighter! Not an idea you would normally think of for fire fighting, but it makes sense.

A fleet of Fire Bosses operate out of Alaska Fire Service in Fairbanks in the summer. I knew there were local wildfires on 2 separate June days when 4 would fly in formation over my house after scooping their loads at PAPA float plane facility. Impressive.
See these frequently flying over my house going into the Conair base at CYXX, and also on my frequent visits to that location. A signature sound and an interesting versatile aircraft.
