Excellent platform but the problem is that it is too darn expesive for in initial cost and O&M, that is why the USAF got rid of them.

The RAAF in Australia now have ten Spartans in service and they will be excelling when it comes to our present need for civil defence. Many of our airfields are not up to US standards..eg YMCO Mallacoota in Victoria. They are expensive assets but worth every cent for our situation.
