the hammer - super photo -

Damn that's a big plane! If anyone notices, the wingtips are within feet of the adjacent taxiways on either side of the runway.
Greg Byington
very good!
Reginald Huggins
Saw it up close at Pearson Airport 2 years ago pictures don't do it justice when you see it, it is real big and different from any other aircraft you see.
Да знатная машина.

Leading edge of wings - used to keep it from floating off lol

I too saw this at Pearson back in Nov 2014...this is 1 gorgeous aircraft...ohh and its Antonov Mriya not Antheus..that was another great aircraft, the AN22.

The Antheus was a rotorcraft.
nwilcox
The Antheus was not a rotorcraft. It was a fixed wing cargo plane.

Look up the Antonov An-22 "Antei"... var. Antheus - Antaeus.

Amazing the wings just don't fall off! That's not a small SUV in front of it either! Thanks! Great shot!
Paul Weisner
There has to be some industrial size and strength spars in those wings!!
Dave Everson
First one I saw was parked across the airfield and the size wasn't all that impressive - until I realized the 'baggage cart' parked by the main gear was actually a flatbed semi trailer!

Rivets they use on bridges in the USA

AN225 "Mriya" (dream) is a one of a kind heavy lifter. Was on it once in PHL in the late '90's. It was in Philadelphia to transport medical equipment to the Ukraine. A monster of an aircraft that is still used for outsized cargo hauling. Charter Flights.
For three bucks, we could take a tour of the inside. The cockpit was as large as a house.

Exelente foto!
Knikwind
The negative dihedral of the wings is greater than the B52. Impressive aircraft.

Isn't that an AN225?

The name of the a/c is under the pilot's window, just enlarge the photo and you'll find it. Cheers
