Gary... *F*I*V*E* stars... and not a good time to be refueling an aircraft parked on that ramp...!!! :-)

What a spectacular shot for the C208, Hawker, WW1124, plus the PC12 parked up on the ramp at KRNO. Well said cliff and a BIG wave to Gary!

Chris Robey... Thanks very much for the good words. I know one person who was struck by lightning while on an aircraft ramp with an approaching thunderstorm...!!!

Cheers cliff...I feel very fortunate to hold a Westwind Type Rating. She has the capability to pressure refuel with a Max capacity of 8700 pounds, including with the tip tanks. Luckily I was never anywhere near this close to an active cell with lightning during a refuelling...

Cliff, Chris R., Viv, Serge, and Leon .... My sincere Thanks to each of you for complimentary comments. I'm very grateful to all of you. Serge .... (Grin) Well, not on all tarmacs, but I have some friends / contacts who work at quite a few various military and civilian airports (most of them are here in Nevada and California but also a couple in other states) so I do get to be on the ramps and near the runways and taxiways at those particular airports. Thank you for your kind comment, and I am super glad you enjoy my pics. Leon ... I'm the one who should be thanking you. You have always been a faithful viewer, not only to me but to many others, and I know every photog here on FA appreciates your support and friendship. (Wave) Cliff and Viv ... Thanx to both of you. And Chris R. .... Howdy, Chris. (Waving my spotter's cap) We need to reestablish an e/m mail link. I still use [email protected] but I now have a second addy devoted solely to FA aviation members who desire to receive - and send - unposted aviation pics. Write me at the OldeCarl address and I'll reply from the new one, k? (Thumbs Up)

Bing in the right spot at he right time. Love this shot. The mighty lightning strike. I remember looking up just as a thin bolt struck the spire of the store I was entering. I was so floored by how even being struck by lightening, the power didn't even hiccup. Pretty amazing...
