Boeing 737-800 (N820SY) - Here come the Marines! This shot captures the second of five Sun Country arrivals at Reno Tahoe International yesterday as the packed-to-the-max-with-Marines B738 hammers in reverse thrust after landing on runway 34R around 1:25 in the afternoon. The five SCX charters were all coming from Cherry Point (KNKT) transporting hundreds of US Marines to KRNO for a training encampment in CA. This particular SCX fleetbird* remained in Reno overnight and then ferried out earlier this morning to JB Elmendorf (PAED) in Alaska.br /* This new addition to the Sun Country fleet is sporting those super sharp-looking spilt scimitar winglets!

Hey, Dwight, Hi again. I apologize for not acknowledging your comment here and I also apologize for not thanking you for it. The past month has been a hurricane of air photography activities around here: the MEV air show, the F-35C visit to NFL, and then the NC Air Races at RTS. I'm at CXP tomorrow for the B-17 visit, and then I'll be in California for two events. Crazy busy ... and enjoying every second. Hope all is well over in RDU country. Thank you for this comment.
