Van's RV-8 (N707AA)
This is a close up view of the Blue Angels tribute painted on the port wing surface of "American Angel" (N707AA), the 2012 Vans RV-8 owned by John and Patti Stahr of Eugene, Oregon.
The Blue Angel is shown flying in formation with two US Navy Blue Angels F-18s with her angel wings protectively enclosing the area around both of the Hornets. To the left of the scene, four Blue Angels team members who have lost their lives are honored: Lt. Kieron O'Connor (USN) and Lt Kevin Colling (USN) together on 28 Oct 1999; LCdr Kevin J. Davis (USN) on 21 Apr 2007; and Capt Jeff Kuss (USMC) on 2 June 2016.
