Boeing 737-800 (N953AN)
Three days ago, I posted a photo (that I had taken back in 2015) of this same American Airlines fleetbird. In that photo, N953AN was dressed in AA's former R, W, and B on silver garb. Yesterday, I caught N953AN again, now wearing American's current livery, as it was landing at RNO at the end of a trip from Dallas (DFW). I am posting this new click of it so the two photos, my old one from 2015 and my new one taken yesterday, will be side-by-side in the RNO picture gallery.

The dark background in this photo was caused by a rainstorm just to the west of downtown in the Sierra Nevada. The storm was ending and the dark clouds were moving away to the northwest when two aircraft came in to land: Southwest's "California One" and then this American B738. Because both aircraft were illuminated by the sun as they were approaching and landing while the clouds to the west were still causing deep darkness in the mountains, both arrivals stood out very distinctly.
Lucky lighting, beautifully captured. This livery then MIGHT be the better one in that light.
