Gulfstream Aerospace Gulfstream V (N898CE)

Harrah's in downtown Reno is just one of Caesar's Entertainment's huge network of properties. This Gulfstream is here often but this is the first time I've been able to capture an airborne shot of it in the middle of the night.

Howdy, Uwe. I agree that you are the king of the nightshots, but you didn't get to be the best without practicing. Everyone needs to try something in order to get better. And please notice that this aircraft is in the air and flying right past me (I was on the taxiway next to the runway) at about 125-130 knots (takeoff speed) into the pure night. There wasn't any way I could set the shutter for a long-exposure pic because this one wasn't taxiing or stopped on the ground with runway lights all around; it was climbing up into pitch black darkness. Nothing but the lights on the Gulfstream and a bit of light from the moon. I'll get better ones in a couple weeks; I'm going to be positioned right next to the runway instead of on the taxiway like I was this time. (Wave)
