PH-OST — - Pander S-4, "Postjager" -literally Mailhunter- , PH-OST. Only ONE (1) built. First flight Oct.6, 1933. Here seen at the old Batavia (now Djakarta) airport in Dec.1933. The Pander S-4 was intended for fast mail connection between The Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies. It was destroyed on Oct.26 1934 at Allahabad , India during the MacRobertson Air Race from London to I believe, Melbourne, after hitting a car while taxiing.
