Canadair Regional Jet CRJ-900 (N187PQ)
Very, very close to a tail strike!
Comments
Looking at the amount of elevator he's using, there's not a lot left to cushion the nosewheel on it's long descent to the runway.
Very close only counts with bombs. Ed
They must be very new at the job.
Maybe he thought there were some wheels on the back there.
How far down 25L was this touchdown?
This is why I only fly American Airlines!
Well....there is a tail protector at the back. Looks like it has a roller as well!!
yes nearly a 3 point landing :)
The gear is fully depressed, they're not new, the shadow makes it look worse, Vegas = hot = turbulence, It's a Sky-west plane and crew, (so yea just fly American - which Skywest crews including this one fly for) and none of us know the weather that day -
Looks like a Concorde laning at that AOA
McCarran?
Hmmmm?
That must be Tail-Strike Tommy.
Whoa! Talk about a tail strike risk!! Yikes!!
