Boeing 707-100 — - KLAS - I'm not good at Military registration IDs - any help is appreciated. This should be July 1995 with VP Al Bore arriving for a Las Vegas Conference. I tried 6 times to level this photo w/my crummy editing tool - the Stratosphere looks OK but the runway does not. C-137B..?? arriving 25R on a very warm July 1995 - an aviation photog friend was on my ladder, I shot through the fence.I had never seen this tail number but sure was neat to see it land! Note, the crane atop the then under construction "Stratosphere Tower" at 1100ft....believe it or not, they hoist another crane parked below, add extensions, one after another,( yes it is a long street ) and the rig was maybe a 6-axle Bigge Crane type rig, and they actually raised the rigging all the way up to then top crane, to dismantle the construction crane atop the tower. The last time I was up in the Stratosphere Tower was March 2001, and when I walked out the elevator to the rim to take photos, the wind was blowing quite a bit harder than when we parked below. I made an immediate U-Turn and back to the elevator, as the top end was swaying so much I freaked out. The guy in the elevator said I pretty much tied the record for people walking off the elevator and turning around to get off the top, back on the elevator and down!! ;..LOL!!!!!
