Great photo! Brings back memories of my TDYs to Cam Ranh Bay Viet-Nam and the F-4 launches in the mornings. Loved to see the mach diamonds in the burner exhaust.
Nice catch and photo!
BAd *ss jet - nice on the wing over!
THIS IS THE "E" MODEL
Reminds me of my time in service. In the Phase docks, we used to strip them, fix 'em, and get em up to full service again. Loved that aircraft.
Worked on the RF-4C cameras in Vietnam and then the F4-C gun camera at Davis-Monthan AFB and I agree, it was a great bird. Thanks for the pick.
Always liked the F4. Nice photo.
Nice shot
Brings back memories of water skiing in Lake Kemp.
Mid seventies, we would take the 152 down to Lake Kemp
after school, these guy's would buzz us at <200 ft. w/ wakes.
Yes, Fell off my ski!

Sam wrote, "Worked on the RF-4C cameras in Vietnam and then the F4-C gun camera at Davis-Monthan AFB and I agree, it was a great bird." I was a camera guy, too (404X1) and did the F4s at Kadena. The gun camera was the N9, IIRC.
SAM @ cverbil, I worked on the RF-4C FLR & INS at Tan Son Nhut in 70 - 71 too. Love to watch them take off at night to see the 7 diamonds in the take off exhaust.
awesome jet
My most favourite plane!
dedicated to the propostion that with sufficient thrust, even a brick can fly -- dead stick glude ratio was 1:1
