Comments
this aircraft is now at the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale NY, used to be at Geneseo then Elmira
Sam, this Catalina was U.S. Navy BuNo 64072 and Consolidated Vultee c/n 0200 as showing in Mr. Joe Baugher's published information. The aircraft was manufactured in 1942 according to its FAA registration. Thanks for sharing this photo with us!
thanks for the info cliff
this photo was taken back when Geneseo NY was the Chino of the East, 4-5 B-17s half dozen B-25s and about 10-15 fighters
things have changed since the 80s and 90s, but soon for the better I believe with the B-17, B-23, and A-20 based there

Sam, that had to be a hoppin' place back in the day... and yes, it sounds like things are truly on the up there!!!
Cliff it's a grass strip. Where these warbirds belong.
Sam, I like the sound of that even better!!!
This too, Sam... that B-23 Dragon must be a rare bird!
Cliff since they own a C-47 it makes sense. The B-23 is based on the same aircraft so parts are interchangeable
