Seriously? Would they report a cracked windscreen on their car?

A cracked windscreen on a pressurized aircraft can lead to aircraft decompression so it is slightly more serious than a rock chip in your Ford's window.

Follow the QRH and all will be well. It's that easy. No emotion.

See how you feel with a cracked windscrean. Several decades ago a BEA jet experienced explosive decompression. The pilot was blown outside of the windscreen. It took three men to recover the captain. It was the result of using the wrong screws that help secure the flange that holds the window in place.
He was physically exposed to 350mph relative wind on his body. He was slowly freezing and couldn't hold on much longer. Tell me what section of the QRH deals with crew members blown out of a jet aircraft by explosive decompression. That remark simply demonstrates your critically serious lack of knowledge. I Don't know any living pilots who would say something callous as it is stupid.

Overblown emotion has, and continues to lead to serious errors in judgement. Errors which kill people.Doing the right thing, not the emotional thing, is what will help the situation. That is why an aircrafts' QRH is developed - on the ground, in the office, where things are calm = unemotional. Follow it and live...
