I just have share this...
I was 4 years old and the Piper Cub was the 1st aircraft I can remember "seeing".
There was a small airport a few miles away in Brooklyn, Ohio and a Cub flew over the house. I tried following it through a field behind the house, never found it but I'll never forget the look on my Dad's face when he found me trudging through the wesds.
I'm still in love with that great little plane.

my mom learned to fly in one of these planes---I saw one --military recon--made with such lightweight materials that it was a miracle, to me at least, that it ever got off the ground with 2 people in it! Nice pic. Thanks.
I learned on it ...long time ago... but still enjoy flying it..
