Cleaver ..Very Cleaver . And i bet that after X number of hours , Delta can label them " Used " and bring them into the USA routes ..... Now thats thinking outside the Box !!

My take away on the TC decission are 2 specific items . 1st , TC is with holding permission until operational matter's are dealt with for Air Canada , Sun Wing and West Jet before they can get their aircraft up . But the 2nd point is more a thorn in the side of US Carriers . NO 737-Max will be allowed in Canadian Airspace until we say so ! It appears that TC at this point is in no rush to let any Max fly in Canada . I'll have to see how this shakes out .

his is a very good question . I was thinking the same . But i haven't heard from other airlines . So in the end , it leaves me thinking that AA is jumping the gun on this ......It just doesn't seem real ? Talk to you again ...DGR

I admit , that i'm a little confused . The 2 Max aircraft that Boeing has made available to the FAA for re-certiacation are , lets say , perfect . They received ALL of the up grades to MCAS . Any and ALL soft wear upgrades where done . Knew training manuals and in Simulator changes have been made . IN all 19 months have gone by to allow Boeing to modify the 2 very pampered 737 Max's . My question is this . What state of affairs are the AA Max's in , or for that matter any other world airline that has this problem child . Just because 2 Boeing Max's pass the FAA tests doesn't automatically mean that mothballed 737 max that i have has had the necessary upgrades . So as for me , if airlines start to rush them back into service cause the FAA states that Boeings 2 Perfect planes are air worthy , it doesn't change the fact that all the rest of them are still dangerous as hell . So will AA have passengers sign a document saying i know the risks and if i die i won't sue ?

Boeing in early to mid 2020 , was forced to raise 10 B $ to stave off failure . They burned through the 10 B $ in short order . Now they are selling off property to further stake $ in the Company . It is a truism , that when a company begins selling off its' assets , it is a harbinger of very despite times . When a company starts to feed on its' self , there is a setting in of panic for those in the Know . I put forward , to those who will listen , that Boeing will very soon need financial gaureentess from the US Gov't , if it is to survive . It is not just bleeding from the Max and other civilian Models , but it's hemoraging from the USAF Tanker . It has no sales and the military contracts are Fixed Cost ( KC-46 ) and the 3 b $ fixed cost on 2 747 conversions into Air Force One's will kill the company . There is No Fun in Boeings future ............DGR

Further , i would like to suggest , that if the airlines do not get a life line , and do start to fold , then the US Gov't might be forced to create an Amtrak of the Sky's , company . One company created from the ashes of a destroyed airline industry , to move people to and from only Hub cities , with bad service and expensive rates . I remember when Railways all over had lost their passengers to the Airlines , and wanted out of the passenger business . But there still was demand for passenger travel to connect the small towns ( the feeder towns and cities , in airline jargon ) that still needed service . This has already happened . The few routes that are still operating , are the Hub to Hub . all the feeders or spokes are gone . The politicians know who's paying their salaries and making available all the perks and prestige that comes along with it . But they've sold out . Before they do anything they check to see if it is a wise move ? Can my position get me Re-allected , or n

The conversation has been lost here over political views , and the readers of this chat site . Your all behaving like the very politicians your taking shots at . Whats at stake here , is Do we save the Major Carriers , or let them go Bankrupt ? This is no game ! When ,or if , this pandemic ever goes away , and life and industry start to improve , these Airlines Are Going to be needed !! . If the politicians are paralyzed ,in just the same way as the opinions expressed here , then Delta , American , United and South West might as well just Fold up . We need agreement , a consensus that life lines must go to these airlines . To hell with the election and all of them worried about saving their own asses . The Airlines are a National Asset that must be saved . If not the industry is going to look like Post WW2 , when " Things " start to improve for all of us . Please , don't let the airlines Die .Thanks for listening ...........DGR

This article reveals such shocking , lets say indifference , to safety it leaves me wondering . But what i would like to know , is just how Airlines that have grounded Max aircraft will be able to retro-fit them with the required upgrades and at what cost . I think it's fair to say that the 2 test aircraft , that Boeing has been using to re-certify the Max are the most pampered and finessed aircraft ever . How many Airlines can do that and how long will it take , if they even try too ?
