Yep ... Delta has designated Memphis a "Focus City," which, as the folks in Cincinnati will attest, means that Delta is focused on reducing service there as quickly as possible.

DL has been trying to bleed MEM to death since they took over NWA. They want to feed their international flights out of JFK/DTW/MSP and get out of town. Why do you think they sub-contracted virtually all of their operations at MEM...so they can cut and run on very short notice.
Not even the ticket counter folks at MEM are DL employees anymore..

Don't go looking at MSP for international flights, unless you count six or seven under Delta, and the remaining with Sun Country (twice as many as DAL). Most internationals fly over MSP on the way to DFW or ORD. Like Memphis, I suppose MSP has been a one-horse town, focused only on it's NWA captive regionals feeding it.

It's called "downsizing"!

This is only the start of "all carriers" cutting back due to fuel prices and the size of aircraft needed to fly those long haul flights!

OK. I know most of you will disagree with me. but when they show inside the airport, that is not memphis. i know i've never been in MEM. but the video is showing the inside of CLT

Yep, Delta has designated Memphis as a "F#ckus" City"',not a "Focus City". Never had a delay thru MEM, can't say that about ATL or DTW. Most markets served out of MEM are down to two flights a day and losing city pairs constantly. SLC is likely next. Thanks for nothing Delta.
