Maybe the airlines should theottle back the charging amperage on their outlets so these laptops can't get into an overheat situation in the first place? Better yet, all laptops and devices capable of being recharged should have a temp relay that opens at a certain temperature to prevent overcharging. Won't help with a runaway but it's something.
