The only thought I have about this thread is its not the night to go flying around with people on the ground firing guns in the air which happens quite often then. By the way didn't know you had to say why thumbs up or down sorry if someone hurt your feelings.
I agree about the gunfire, but we were too high up and away from most of the shoreline.
Thumbs comment was to provoke a dialogue. I've seen many squawks posted by other FlightAware users with surprising negative numbers. I do see how you would arrive at your interesting conclusion.
