Watch as pilot lands private jet without landing gear (VIDEO)

Enviado há

The moment a hero pilot landed a small plane in southern California with no landing gear was caught on camera. The private jet's landing gear failed to open as the plane approached Palm Springs International Airport Friday around 3.20pm, officials said. Given the potentially deadly situation, the pilot of the private jet was forced to make a belly-landing at the small airport. Video footage of the landing obtained by NBC first shows the plane descending as it approaches the runway. (www.dailymail.co.uk) Mais...

I thought the Hawker 800 required two pilots to operate. Another NBC article with poor reporting! Remarkable job by the pilots however.

Once again the food editor covers aviation in his spare time. They did a great job and glad, but not surprised they walked away. I loved the pilot and "passenger" walked away part, but in another era, that's what some called a new copilot in a Lear 25. LOL
