Lan Chile v Air NZ in high court of New Zealand
In 1982 Air NZ leased on long term arrangements with Lan Chile air lines two Mc Donnell Douglas DC10-30 aircraft with Registrations ZK-NZS & ZK-NZT which had only being in the anz fleet around four years. Lan Chile had not made payment for the aircraft since 1982 and the aircraft were eventually brought back to anz and re sold to American airlines. Air NZ states that Lan Chile defaulted several times over this lease of three years and was owed 2.5 million dollars on the leases. Further more… (www.nzherald.co.nz) Mais...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
That will be interesting to see what happens. But this is years ago when they had these arrangements for leasing. Why now they decide to go to the high court and these planes are no longer around or stored in the Mojove scrapping area.
OMG why on earth would you still be pursuing these claims since the late 1980's.? This would cost the carrier more then what is worth. ZK-NZS,ZK-NZT are long gone they were parted out at Majove a few years back even though the air frames still sit stripped down.
