As a huge fan of SW I'm disappointed. It would seem this would be a great addition to boring cramped flights.

I'll have to second that. Especially on their longer hops like KLAS to KTPA.

Keep in mind this..

Right now, until the rest of their fleet (including TRS's fleet) gets updated, all of the longer routes are on those aircrafts that are WiFi enabled. So you still may be able to get XM/Sirius; just over the internet rather than straight through.

Just get a (south west facing) Window seat and bring your own XM! I travel with a tiny hand held XM receiver and spare battery. (The Samsung Helix - BBC World Service fan) works great - in between HD iPad movies!

But you'll never find me on an old MD xx ! I much prefer a front seat in a 737-800 !
