Drunk Brit tries to open door at 30,000ft
An easyJet flight to Gatwick was forced to make an emergency landing after a drunk passenger reportedly tried to open a door at 30,000ft.The flight from Marrakech, in Morocco, was forced to land in Bordeaux, France, where police boarded the plane and dragged him off. I understand it is not possible to open the door while the cabin is pressurized.
It is difficult for me to understand how someone can wind up on an airplane this drunk. If he were drunk before the flight, security should have stopped him from boarding. If he were sober when he boarded and then became drunk as a result being served too much alcohol, then the flight crew should be questioned.
Were it not for endangering the other passengers and the aircraft, the cabin crew should have let him open the door then pushed the S.O.B. out!
