UPDATE from KTLA: CHINO, Calif. (KTLA) — A plane crashed into a hangar at the Chino Airport Thursday.

Ontario firefighters responded to the call around 6:17 p.m.

The FAA said the Challenger jet hit the hangar while undergoing maintenance.

“The plane was chalked on the ramp area while undergoing an engine run-up test. At some point, the plane jumped the chalks and ran into the hangar. There were three mechanics on the plane, but none was injured, the plane was not intended for flight,” FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said in a statement.

The jet was registered to Grady International Inc. in Irvine.

Nice video, but you can tell she is Blonde... And the captain even though experienced obviously had no clue of why this happened, why did they interview him. I can tell you exactly what happened. Mechanics were doing a power run....

In the process they pulled the Circuit Breaker's that control the Weight On Wheels indication making the plane think it was in the air. The idiots in the cockpit missed a procedure telling them to turn off their antiskid. In the process to prevent the plane from landing with brakes on blowing all 4 tires the brakes were released automatically. At full power and no brakes those little chocks have no chance of holding that plane back. They should have pulled the power back immediately, but even if they did, because they had the WOW breakers pulled the plane would have gone into HIGH IDLE still causing forward movement. Flight IDLE and Ground IDLE are 2 totally different settings.

I wish the news people would interview people who know the plane, because God knows the ones they talked too sure didn't. The FDR & CVR will tell the story I just told you... Just a little more graphic.... I really would like to hear the CVR recording! :))

Maybe they should have used chocks instead of chalk to hold it?

How did the wings go through without making a hole..

Look closer. Bad picture.. You can see the wing and the winglet... It is there. On a CRJ (or Challenger) you can not have the gear showing without the wing showing from this angle. Look at the gear, pan upwards and slightly forward. right under the emergency exit you can see the leading edge and follow it right out to the winglet. The winglet blends in pretty well, but is still there.

Can we say CHOCKED instead of Chalked. This is about the third article in as many months with the word spelled as such. Is it just a mis-spelling or have I missed a new vocabulary entry??????
