Well if it can't fly fast because of excessive fuel burn and can't dog fight just make it the replacement for the A-10.
Your actually close, the F-35 was always meant to replace the A-10 not the F-16. It's the F-22 that is meant to be the new dogfighting aircraft. There's a reason why the F-35 is called Joint STRIKE Fighter
Bring back the "fighter mafia"!!! They knew how to design airplanes!!! F-15 and F-16, need I say more!!!
Actually the fighter mafia is what gave us this useless fighter in the first place.
With all the counter measures how could somebody get jumped? Seems they'd be firing a missile from the distance.
It's really sad when the plane it's meant to replace can kick its arse. Epic fail.
