Portuguese wet-lease specialist Hi Fly’s first Airbus A380 is set to make an appearance at the Farnborough air show.

The jet, which is undergoing painting in Malta ahead of being introduced to Hi Fly’s operation, will be shown in the static park.

Airbus’s presence will include the newly-redesignated A220, with two examples of the twinjet appearing at the event.

As well as an A220-300 test airframe another of the type, from the fleet of Air Baltic, will be displayed. Both will be in the static park.

Airbus is also to display an A330-900 – the re-engined version of its A330 – as well as an A350-1000, both of which will take part in the flight programme.

These will complement a Farnborough line-up featuring an A330-900 of launch customer TAP Portugal and an A350-1000 of Qatar Airways. The airframer is also intending to show an A321neo on 18 July.
