Cool!
The Coast Guard seems to like those Chinook Helicopters, but the V22 Tilt rotor is catching up!!
The Coast Guard does not operate the CH47 Chinook nor the Osprey. I am a retired CW4, Master Army Aviator Instructor UH1 C12 TH67 Safety Officer Accident Investigator ATP R-craft helicopter Commercial Airplane SMEL Land, CFII Helicopter My son is Retired CW3 UH1 CH47 R/C12 ATP both airplane and helicopter now with Southwest Airlines
What is the tan object that appears to be protruding fwd from the cockpit???
The tan object is a rotor blade pointing almost directly away from the photographer
Ahhh, the ever present sights and smells of hydraulic fluid leaking!!!
Canadian company, U.S. registration, display of Australian user's name. Very interesting combination.
This was one of 2 Chinooks we had on contract in Australia for our fire season this year. This one was based in New South Wales Sydney. She will be loaded up on a ship in Melbourne, taken home and then loaded back up again for our next season. No Hyro fluid she was clean as a whistle!
