V, v m a, Sir. I cannot EVER express how appreciative I am. What an absolute Rush! (And check your e/m. This one in 3 sizes - - 1) original / poster, 2) desktop / photo print, and 3) phone screen -- should be there by now.)

After a morning flight, this Lockheed C-5M Super Galaxy went back up for some more flying and I hung around to capture it here as it returned.

This Super Galaxy is the same one that participated in the C5M .. KC-10 .. C-17 "Elephant Walk" and exhibition flight during the 2022 Wings Over Solano Open House and Airshow event a few weeks ago.

WOW!!!!!!! Gary this shot is amazing! Your timing in capturing this big bird was perfect! Outstanding snap!

Wow !!!!! Gary this must be the Mona Lisa of aviation photos

Yo, Boss. TYVM. Much easier than snapping a fighter. These big birds are just like the Queen of the Skies ... they seem to be moving so slowly that they look like they should be tumbling out of the sky any second. It's easy to pan along with these. (Wave)
Holy Smokes! It's Homer. A direct communication instead of via C.I. Congrats. And Howdy. And a TY to you also. Everyone who knows me knows that VIEW COUNT is the ultra #1 factor of importance to me so I truly appreciate you adding to it. Also, although I do deeply appreciate the compli and I did "get' the real message, I feel it is important to point out that da Vinci's Mona Lisa is a painting and this is a photograph. A more parallel comparison might have been that "this must be the 'Afghan Girl' of aviation photos." McCurry's "Afghan Girl' is a very highly regarded and widely known photograph so if a comparison between this pic and a famous female face (such as the Mona Lisa) is the intent, then the female face in McCurry's "Afghan Girl" photo may have been a better comparison of two items that were accomplished in the same medium - photography. But over and above that relatively minor point, no matter which lady's depiction you use, your compliment is quite overstated. Homer, I'm just an amateur photographer who has meager equipment that I use to enjoy my aviation photography hobby. My photos aren't even good enough to be accepted by the aviation photo super experts at Jet Photos so there is no way this one is anywhere near Mona Lisa (OR Afghan Girl). In fact, when I read your wonderful comment, I immediately looked you up here in FA and went thru several pages of your extremely exquisite photographs and I must say I was literally knocked right out of my chair with emotion! I feel compelled to tell you that you are truly limiting your photographic talents by posting here in FA. You should be sending your pics to Boeing, Airbus, National Geographic, Lufthansa, etc., etc., because it is your pics, not mine, that are the equal of renowned photographer Steve McCurry. You could easily become New Hampshire's most sought after photographer; perhaps even all of New England or the Eastern Seaboard. As you already know, the correct self-presentation combined with publicity can lead to fame. I am most grateful for the fact that you added to my view count of this photo and knowing you think so highly of my pic means you may continue to click on my future posts, but I urge you to look no farther than your own folder to see Afghan Girl-quality photos. Wow!!!!!! (Thumbs Up)

Top shot Gary and DEFINITELY easier to pan!!

5x for Gman, this is an awesome photo, and well stated by Derek. As Afghan Girl graced National Geographic - this could grace the cover of all Aviation pages also. The Elephant walk reminds me of the Video I have from late 80s/early 90s at Travis AFB Airshow with C-141 and if memory is correct 2 C-5Bs approaching from the west on taxi and the turbo whine is to die for....Im looking for that video this week...
