Another crew of heroes off to battle - salute to all of them.
Absolutely Gavin. Keeping in mind that the elevation up there is high and the temperature right now is very hot. And fire retardant (like water) is very heavy. Much heavier than aircraft fuel. All negative factors for takeoff and aircraft climbout performance. And that's before we even start to consider the always present OEI (one engine inop) scenario for this crew...
