Short Skyvan......they use it for skydiving. I got a dozen jumps from one of these!
Had one at my show in Milwaukee (AIR AGE '68). Blew a few minds when it backed into the space we allocated it in the display area.
I don't know anything about art. But,I know what I like !

In the UK we called it the flying shed because it looks about as aerodynamic as a garden shed!
She originally had the French Astazou turboprop engines in incredibly thin pencil like nacelles. But those engines left her under powered, especially in hot weather. Hence the change to the more powerful and also ultra reliable Garrett TPE331.
Same company that built the Titanic.

Ian Gregory - the Titanic was never intended to fly & this was not designed to sail across the oggin - No comparison! they are very practical little boxes.
