Hopefully this will be something that can be used, if needed, in the right situations and not a one size fits all. Theater bomber? As in B-1 replacement. Global heavy lifter? B-52 replacement. Global strategic, precision stealth instrument? B-2 replacement. That is three types, not requirements for one plane.
So, what is the probability of a protest?
Let us pray that it doesn't turn out like the F35
Good to see you posting...I was beginning to worry when you didn't go for the bait I put up for you on the post of the 92 yo lady Spitfire pilot.
How come we are spending Billions on these when we need so much of our infrastructure (bridges and roads) replaced/fixed, etc. This is a total waste of dollars. We already know it will never stay on budget...no pentagon projects does. Just cut it and use the money wisely in my opinion.
If the Russian's can still get by with 'Blackjack' and 'Backfire' or even 'Bear's ' then why should USAF hemmoarage money building something so expensive no one else would be silly enough to compete with?
