Airbus A320 (HA-LYA)

Where? There seem to be many people and the aircraft is very low, what is the occasion?

Peter -- At least I can tell you that the "where" is Budapest. I've strolled that section of the "Duna" (Danube) many, many times. The pic was taken between the famous and picturesque Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Széchenyi lánchíd)and Erzsébet híd (Elisabeth bridge)near the Marriott and Intercontinental hotels. If you've never been, put Budapest on your bucket list. It's one of the most beautiful European capitols you will ever see. Ranks right up there with Vienna and Prague. As for the occasion? Not a clue. Agree the acft is pretty low and dirtied up but Ferhigy airport is several miles to the south -- maybe a Wizzair maiden flight or perhaps an air show?

Yes it's Budapest. I am also knowing the area very well. I stayed many times at the Intercont Hotel and this plane is definately below the upper floors of the Hotel. It looks cool but I would say it is simply mad with all the bridges hills and towers around in the middle of a huge city. Far to low and A320's are not really famouse for their aerobatic capabilities.

A good and interesting picture, I wonder where the photographer was located to take it. If a telephoto lens was used, the aircraft could well appear to be lower than it actually is.
